Finalmouse’s upcoming Centerpiece keyboard is set to shake up the gaming peripheral market with its unique design and features. Rather than the traditional per-key RGB lighting found on many gaming keyboards, the Centerpiece features a full-color display that is located beneath a set of transparent keycaps and mechanical switches. This allows for the display of customizable animations and interactive skins, which are powered by a CPU and GPU running on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. How fucking cool is this?

In addition to its impressive display, the Centerpiece keyboard also boasts transparent keycaps made of plastic, giving the appearance of peering through a layer of ice. The key legends have been moved to the front of the keys, so touch-typing skills may come in handy for those using this keyboard. Finalmouse plans to offer the keyboard with both linear and analog switches, although there is currently no word on whether it will be available with clicky or tactile switches.

One potential drawback of the Centerpiece keyboard is its price. It is expected to retail for $349 when it launches early next year, which may be too steep for some users.
